Adventure
Hollow Lantern
★★★★★ 4.7
Hollow Lantern is a slow, atmospheric adventure game and I mean that as high praise. You explore a deserted town carrying a lantern, solving light environmental puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened here. It's more mood than mechanics, and it works.
The controls are simple: tap to move, drag to look, tap objects to interact. Because it's not asking for reflexes, it's perfect for playing quietly before bed. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting and I recommend headphones.
It's not long, maybe four or five hours, but it left more of an impression than games ten times its size. If you want something calm and a little melancholy, this is it.
